It's a New Year!

I thought things would calm down after Christmas, but that hasn't been the case! Nevertheless, I will try my best to get back into the swing of things and post some new pics. This month has been a lot of scurrying from appointment to appointment...and has anyone else noticed how COLD it is? I'm sure! It's been a bit tough to adjust to shooting indoors again, so to give myself something to look forward to, I have ordered four new paper colors! I'm so excited--they should arrive this week, and I'll have the opportunity to try them out at a session on Monday. :)

Recently a photographer friend of mine came over and we spent the day talking shop, and managed to get a few snaps of the kids while we were experimenting with the bounce flash. She had her two youngest with her, and I had my youngest as well. Our two-year-olds had fun playing together, and it was great to have a chance to catch up! Here are a few of the shots I took that day:

My pokey eater was still working on her PB toast from lunch...

At least she cleans up nice!

The two-year-olds together...I think they loved posing for someone else besides their moms for a change--notice her son is looking at me and my daughter is looking at her!

We commiserated on how challenging it is to photograph a baby in a moving swing...but she was so sweet and adorable that I kept trying!

I love this one...my daughter did a spontaneous little "happy dance", and I just managed to snap this one before she turned and took off again

It was nice to shoot indoors just for fun. Since the weather is not going to cooperate with us this week, I think I'll get out the camera and flash again and see what we can come up with!
