Baby Boy and His Family

I photographed this 2-month-old sweetie a few weeks ago. He has a wonderful family and they were great to work with! He was very easy-going and did so well, but I apparently wore him out, because by the end of the session when we went to take pics of the family together, he had fallen fast asleep! If only I could get newborns to fall asleep so easily! :) Here are a few favorites from their session:

He made us work pretty hard to get him to smile :)

Aww, doesn't he look cute? It's so fun to find a baby who likes being on their belly!

Loved big brother's stylin' hair!

Toddler Session

Wanted to share some pics from one of my recent sessions--a little 12-month-old boy! Toddlers are quite the challenge to photograph since they just go, go, go! But it is sooo much fun to watch and interact with them! This little guy was so fun, and I really enjoyed the time I spent with him and his parents.

Sneak Peaks!

I have had quite a few sessions lately, which of course means slower turnaround time with proofing. Because of this, I wanted to offer some sneak peaks to those of you who are patiently awaiting the link to your proofs! I selected a couple favorites from each session to process ahead of time and post for you to see while you're waiting for me to finish your session. :)

Enjoy!

Baby M.

Baby R.

I am waiting on releases for the other two, and will post the sneak peaks from those as soon as I have them! Keep checking back, because as soon as I finish with each session I will be posting more favorites!

Recent Session

I know you are all probably tired of water pictures and photos of my kids, so, here are some favs from my most recent session! This little girl was born the same month as my daughter, which is how I met her mom. They are both super-sweet and I'm glad I met them. It was really neat to be able to do her two-year pictures! The site we were originally planning to use was flooded, but I think this area ended up working out quite nicely!

She really looooooved that merry-go-round! That's where she was headed every time we put her down, hehe :) I love the "discarded flowers" in this pic while she is having fun

Fun Couple Session

The week before we left for Mexico, I was able to do a session for my very own brother and sister-in-law. :) I had a great time with them, and my brother was a good sport, in spite of not being a real fan of photoshoots. They let me boss them around all afternoon, and we took several breaks to watch the ducks, feed the ducks, CHASE the ducks...

okay, and geese...ducks AND geese.

They wanted some shots in their hammock in the backyard, but wouldn't you know it the *only* time the sun peeked out from behind the clouds on this overcast day was while we were trying to get these shots! As a result we couldn't get much in the harsh overhead sun.

I just felt like this one needed a vintage treatment!

After fighting with the sun in their eyes for awhile, we decided to try the hammock another way! Here's an outtake of them trying (and failing a few times) to lay across the hammock that kept wanting to dump them back out. Woah! (I of course got to watch and laugh...and take pictures. It was very entertaining.)

*whew* success... (hang on tight guys!)

We spent a good deal of time at the lake before heading back to the house to get a few shots of them with their cats

...and some in front of their nifty blue door that I was just drawn to!

Ah yes, here are the lake shots...my favorites!
