Raincoats

Just some snapshots of my kids tonight, from a recent assignment for my study group. They both wanted to wear their raincoats and boots. It was a fun evening hanging out with them in the yard, after such a long winter!

We still had some snow on the ground at the time (the stuff just wouldn't go away!), so they got into the spirit of "spring cleaning" and attempted to shovel it all off the lawn. :)

My little one giving her trike a tune-up, to get it ready for riding! :)

oof, JUST...tall...enough! See??

...and off we go!

...of course, outdoor play time is not complete until one of them has to sit in time-out on the porch! :) Such drama!

More Blue Eyes

I get to photograph an awful lot of blue eyes lately! I've already shared some recent ones of my daughter and nephew, and now here are some of my friend's 3-month-old cutie! Doesn't he just have the most stylin' hair to go with those baby blues?? Love it! :)

Poor little guy wasn't feeling well...and as you can see, he has recently discovered his hands

Yes, this is the "guitar baby" from the newborn session I posted in January! Now here he is with Daddy's guitar case! :)

...and some black and white
I can't believe how sturdy he was--mom could actually stand him up and lean him back against her!

As promised...

Here are more of my oldest daughter's 3-year pictures. We went out four different times, and even more different locations. Some were taken in the morning, and some at sunset. We had a lot of fun doing these! As you can see, I have a ton of favorites (besides the ones I posted before!):

...and this one just cracks me up!

The Latest Photo Challenge

Thought I would share another one of my assignments from my photography group. We were supposed to create a scene with toy cars and explore space and scale. Having two little girls, there was only one toy car to be found at my house (courtesy of a box of Cheerios!), but I had this idea and my 21-month-old was only too willing to help me out with it. Didn't she do a great job?? I couldn't resist making a storyboard out of them:

Pricing and Policies

Sorry, no photos in this post...It's time for another exciting round of announcements!

As most of you know, I have been running a promotional 50% discount on prints and session fees while working to establish my business and build my portfolio. I plan to continue with this discount for a few more months; however, starting April 15, the discount will only be available if an order is placed within two weeks of receiving your proofs. Orders placed later than that will be at full price. I wanted to give everyone a heads-up on this policy, and I will be updating my contract to reflect it.

Scheduling:
As of right now, I have room for one more session this month, though my Saturday spots are already taken. I am still running a newborn special, where I will waive the session fee and provide a complimentary 8x10 for newborns during the month of April (newborns must be 2 weeks of age or younger), so if you know anyone who has just had a baby, be sure to let them know. This special ends April 30, but stay tuned, as I will be running a new special for May and June!

I have a few openings for May; however, my Saturdays are limited, so be sure to schedule ASAP if you want a weekend shoot! I will be on vacation one week during May, which is also going to limit my availability. (If you are wondering, we're going to Mexico! Thanks to my hubby, of course...and yes, I will come back with lots of photos to share, so be watching!)

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to schedule a session! Hope you all have a great week!

Another Little One

This little cutie is cousin to the last tiny newborn I did a session for. In typical baby fashion, she was in a great mood until I got the camera out. :) This was the day she decided she must have a pacifier in her mouth at all times, even though for her entire three weeks of life thus far she had not felt the need to have one. It was a surprise to her parents, and quite comical! But we enjoyed the time with her and she still let me get plenty of great shots. Here are some favorites (lots of black and white):

...there's that pacifier! hehe

Flip Flops

This is a little collage I put together of my kids' new flip-flops. I know, woohoo. :) But I think little feet are so cute! Anyway, these were actually taken in February, when it was looking like winter would NEVER end, so I let the girls wear their new sandals around the house all day.

My older daughter gave me only two chances to photograph her before she ran away and told me to leave her alone, and in one she had kicked the rug over her shoes in her haste, so unfortunately the only one of her wearing her flip-flops is the pair of feet in the upper right-hand corner. My younger one was so preoccupied with my lens cap that she didn't seem to notice me snapping away. :)

Here it is, to get you in the mood for summer!
